Champion Music! and Magic update

Just got home from Magics vet visit to a great message.  Music finished his championship down in Des Moines today.  I am so happy for Joyce!

Magic had 3 punch biopsies done on his nose today.  He is a little bit groggy stil.  He has 3 little pink cross stitches in pink on his nose. Quite stylish.   Now we wait for the pathology.  Both the vet and I agree if this one is not cancerous like the others we will leave it alone, as it is so large she is concerned about having enough remaining skin after removal. Plus, as they grew back so quickly, but have now seemed to stop growing, there is no guarantee that another wouldnt re-appear. So now we wait.

Music & Vegas

Yesterday I got a chance to visit with Joyce and see Music and Vegas.  Not to make my dogs feel bad, but Music(Nine) was and probably always will be my favorite puppy from Grace's litter.  I fell in love with him almost immediately.  He has grown into such a handsome dog.  No, hes not perfect or the show dog one dreams about, but he is a terrific boy.  He is smart, stable, confident but not pushy. Just love him, but so does Joyce, and he loves his momma too.  I really think I got lucky with placing the pups, I am still so very happy with each of the homes the pups went to.

I also got to see Vegas again, and what a wonderful boy he is turning out to be.  Laid back, easy going but confident and super willing. Happy to meet new people or new dogs. Was just super meeting Peace, who since being attacked is very cautious in meeting new dogs. And absolutely lovely to look at.  We were sort of laughing about his little freckles, he doesn't have many, but they are darn cute. Just one or 2 on each leg and on his muzzle. Nice big bone and at 10 months he is right around 30 pounds.  I told Joyce that if he ever disappears she might want to check my house.

Saturday we will get some Vegas pictures so you all can see how lovely he is. And of course Music too.

Day 3 of the dog show

Today I did tours at the dog show.  I really enjoy talking to others about what it is and how it works.  Met a nice lady who wants to do this whole thing, but doesnt know how to get started.  Had a verbally chalenged young man in another group. He had a hard time expressing his questions, but his love for the dogs came out really clearly.

There wasnt a huge cardigan entry this weekend, and due to weather a couple did not make it.  A couple pulled today as well, so there was only a few dogs entered.  But Music did well again, going best of winners.  Now we will need to look for that last major.

I have to say, his person, Joyce has done such a good job with him. You can tell that he just adores her and win or lose, I know that dog is loved.  It makes me so happy to know that they are together.

Yeah for Music

I just got a message from Joyce that Music went Best of Winners today! One point closer.  Yeah Music.  Here is his picture from his major win in August.  I just got some pictures of the boy from Joyce, so I can do his page on the website.

I didnt go to the show today.  This show is one of the more expensive local shows, with $10.00 parking and an $8.00 spectator entry, I thought it was prudent to use the money for groceries.   Since I didnt have a dog entered, I stayed home.  I wil lbe going to watch tomorrow though as I am doing dog show tours for the club. I really enjoy showing spectators around and answering questions.  Its really fun.

Rally today and a visit with Joyce, Vegas and Music

Joyce came up to Burnsville today with Music and Vegas.  First let me just say what a cutie pie Vegas is.  He was so happy to be at a new place, and so interested in everything going on. Unfortunately, that made pictures a bit tough, and these are not great, but we had fun anyways.  I always thought he was a lovely boy and I still do!

Here is Music too, can't pay all the attention to the puppy.  I just adore this boy. He is such a sweetie.

Today at the UKC rally trial, both Magic and Grace qualified.  Magic with a 95 and Grace with a 91. That gave Magic his URO-1 title.

A good show day

We had a good day today at the Rochester Kennel Club show. Peace earned 1 point for going Winners. She also was best Bred By. Music earned 2 points with Winners and Best of Winners. That makes 8 for Music and 13 for Peace.

Lazy weekend again

I can really tell that my anemia is getting worse. I have hardly no energy at all. And it doesn't help when the weather is so cruddy either! I suppose I should go to the doc and get back on IV therapy, but I just hate it so much. Its expensive and it doesn't work for me like it is supposed to. Its supposed to get my iron up enough to last, but it never really takes well. Oh well. So instead I had a completely lazy weekend. So did the dogs. You can see my quilt and pillow never left the couch, and were well used.
This is Music. He was puppy Nine. He is the sweetest boy, and he made his mom so proud this weekend. Joyce took him to their first show and they were reserve on Saturday. Pretty good for 2 new competitors. As you can see Music has a bit of a coat issue, but under that coat he is pretty nicely built. We adore this guy and are so pleased that he and Joyce had such a good weekend.

Music

Music came to visit today. He is growing into a very nice looking boy. It sure is fun to see Grace's kids as they grow.
