Ah, a triangle pattern instead of my square.

I had four in there and just kept getting them tangled, so for now went down to 3. Hoping that when I go back to 4 it wont seem so awkward! But then I have never been coordinated, which also explains why we rarely Q in agility.....

Oh, and I did wind up using a different pattern, with the same technique. The needles and yarn I had were smaller than your Carolyns pattern and I was afraid if I followed that pattern they would turn out too small. However, I love that Carolyns patter uses a bit bigger needle, and that will be the next ones I do!

I look forward to seeing the finished product. I have to work up to a project (very slowly). I may just wait for the cardi pattern knitting book and do a counted cross stitch square for my scent articles bag.

I won't tell you how many times I ripped out and restarted the first one. Then when I finally got several good rows into it, I left and then found a trail of yarn from the chair, through two rooms, and out the dog yard. One of the bamboo needles didn't make it through the experience.

I also tried a pattern using three working needles first, but had more trouble getting even stitches with the tighter (or looser depending on your viewpoint) corner angles.
