Today was fun! Magic and I had a fun day. We managed Q's in 4 out of 6 runs, earning his first standard title. Today it really felt like we were a team and connected. We Q'd in both standard runs, jumpers and for the first time in weavers too. In chances we dropped the 9th bar, of course it was my fault. Usually I am behind the boy, but todays distance challenge was wonderful for us and it allowed me to get in front of him, and I think that really confused him, as it doesn't hardly happen during a run. One of the comments I heard was that he looked like he was trying so hard to catch up he just flattened the jump too much.
However, today we also had our shortest run ever. We were the last runner of the last course of the day. In touch n go, the course was tunnel, to the 2nd tunnel, which was wrapped under the dogwalk. Magic took the dogwalk, but it must have clicked in his head after he got there that I said tunnel, because he bailed off the top. So, scoop off and yup we are done, Thanks! He is fine so far, but I will be watching for any sign of pain tonight and tomorrow. I am hoping the photographer got a shot of his spectacular leap though as it was quite impressive.
All in all it was a fun day, and for not having practiced I was very happy with my buddy.
