Ah I feel so much better
I had my puppy fix. I went to help George and Connie tape Rhys ears. What a doll puppy. It was all I could do not to steal him!

Puppy Fever

OK, I KNOW that I cannot have any more dogs. I really don't need another puppy, but darn do I have puppy fever! Just look at the cute puppies at Hagaren. Today's picture of Fiyero is just so smoochable! I am probably one of the few people in our breed who really like dogs with limited white, so Alphonse just catches my eye. And then there are the cuties at Solstices blog, and I am waiting eagerly to see the Chaselets that are coming before too long. Then I am fully aware of a few others who have litters coming. Oh Grace, wanna have more??? I think not, she just took off. LOL. SoI guess I will post a Peace baby picture.

Differences
The girls are so very different from each other. Peace is a princess type girly girl. She is gentle, very loving and snuggly, would rather not get her feet wet or muddy. Siren is a tom boy, rougher in play, dig holes and I swear would climb trees if she could. She is not bothered by rain, dirt or mud, water is a joy, and anything that moves is to be chased. Leaves falling from trees is great entertainment.
This morning we had the first snow of the year-not a lot yet, but there was enough to cover the steps. Peace went out, felt the snow on her feet and immediately wanted to come back in. Siren ran out and rolled in it. Let me just say, curly girl with a coat full of snow and dirt and leaves- not so much my favorite thing at 5 am.

A little Blood...

Mom! Someone's bleeding. There's blood on Peace! HELP!!
OK, I was in the next room sitting at the computer. No one had yelped, the pups were running around like the wild kids they are, so I am not too worried. I go look, and yup, Peace has blood smeared all around her chest and neck, and my son is sitting there staring at the blood on his hand. It's not hardly enough to see, but I am sure it felt wet. I pop open Sirens mouth and there is a hole with blood oozing out where her bottom canine fell out.
I sure am glad it was nothing major if the sight of a little smear will cause him to shut down and stare at his hands. Laughing just a little. But I am glad he cares enough to worry.

A weekend of Goodbyes
Yesterday, both Nine and Dolly left for thier new homes. Dolly has been staying with me for the last few months and has gotten to be part of the family. Nine is, well a very special puppy. I adore this boy and was teary all day yesterday just thinking about him leaving. But today when he went to his new Mom, I just knew it was going to be a great home. He is going to do some obedience and rally, and maybe if he grows up pretty he will be in a conformation ring. He will be living with some collies and I am sure will have a wonderful time. Dolly went to her new family where she will be pampered loved and spoiled, just as a girl should be.
(I will post the picture later)
It was a long day, but a good one, over 14 hours and almost 600 miles of driving. Since I was driving Dolly to Madison to meet her new people, we also were able to help in the transport of a rescue pem towards her new home. She was a puppy mill brood, but soon hopefully she will also be in her own home, pampered and loved as she deserves. Fortunately I had a good friend along and the day really seemed to go by quickly and enjoyably.
But then on Monday little Chance leaves too. It is sad to see the babies going, but yet there is something really wonderful when a new puppy owner going home with a smiling happy new family.
